Plaintiff’s Firm Comes Out On Top in Class Action Lawsuit Against Pennsylvania College of Technology

Williamsport, PA [12.31.24] - Poulin Willey Anastopoulo LLC announces a significant legal victory for students and their families, the Court of Common Pleas of Lycoming County has granted class action status to a lawsuit filed on behalf of a student and his family, against Pennsylvania College of Technology (PCT).

The lawsuit, filed in 2020, alleges that PCT misled students regarding the quality of education and employment outcomes, resulting in significant financial harm. The class action certification allows the Lawsons to represent a larger group of students who may have been similarly impacted by PCT's alleged misrepresentations.

"This is a crucial step in seeking justice for students who may have been deceived by PCT's promises," said Paul Doolittle, Director of Poulin Willey Anastopoulo’s Class and Mass Torts Division. "We believe that many students and families have suffered financial and emotional distress due to the college's alleged failure to deliver on its promises."

The next step in the legal process will be to determine the scope of the class and notify potential class members of their rights.
